Standing Committees

Kappur Grama Panchayat - Standing Committees

Standing Committees are formed from among the elected members of the governing body to improve the efficiency of the day-to-day administration and development activities of a local self-government institution. Their primary responsibility is to divide the Panchayat's departments, responsibilities, and areas of work into specific sectors and provide focused supervision for each sector.
Key Objectives

Improving Efficiency

Instead of discussing all matters together, issues are divided by sector and discussed in detail by smaller committees, speeding up administrative procedures.

Specialized Supervision

Each committee focuses on the subjects under its responsibility, reviews plans and activities, and makes recommendations.
